ARGOLF Ambassador Tim Petrovic finished his third year on the PGA TOUR Champions in fine fashion.
TIM PETROVIC’S IMPRESSIVE PGA SEASON
His five runner-up and six Top-10 finishes earned him the 9th spot in the final rankings of the 2018 Charles Schwab Cup Points. Three of his second-place finishes came at 72-hole events (KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, U.S. Senior Open & Charles Schwab Cup Championship). With an ARGOLF putter in the bag for the 2018 season, Petrovic finished an impressive 54 spots better in the points race compared to hi his finish in 2017.
Petrovic fired an impressive five-under 65 during the second round of the U.S. Senior Open Championship this past summer putting him in contention for a Major win. He went on to finish the tournament exceedingly well but finished just one shot off winner David Toms.
Petrovic was leading the season-finale Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Phoenix, Arizona after the first day with an eight-under opening round of 63. He followed that up with rounds of 67, 66 and a final 70 that kept him from victory just trailing champion Vijay Singh.
TIM PETROVIC’S SECRET WEAPON
Tim Petrovic’s weapon of choice is the ARTHUR LT Tour Prototype putter from ARGOLF which earned a prestigious spot on the 2018 Golf Digest Hot List. The ARTHUR LT is a lighter version of the original ARTHUR blade putter milled from 304L German Stainless Steel. Due to its petite size, this high-performance putter has an ideal MOI to yield superior balance and stability. Its full-shaft offset enables the golfer to keep their hands ahead of the putter face at both address and impact. Such combination of such offset and patented C-Cut grooves on the club face accentuates the topspin effect on the ball for a more accurate roll and feel.
Tim Petrovic finished just outside the Top-10 for best putters this past season on the PGA TOUR Champions with a 1.753 putting average. His ARTHUR LT putter also kept him at an average of 27 putts per round.
